Middleware is a critical component in any software solution deployed in the capital markets, and one where no single size fits all. Trading operations need to be confident that the platform they program their applications to is flexible and can service their needs as demands for performance and underlying technologies change.

Wombat provides the most extensive range of middlewares to the capital markets, all bound by a single, proven API - the Middleware Agnostic Messaging API (MAMA). By writing applications to MAMA, not only does it enable a choice of languages like .Net, Java and C/C++ and OSs from Linux and Unix to Windows, but also the ability to integrate with the most significant, high speed middlewares in production today.

Wombat offers three core middleware choices:

1. Wombat TCP middleware, for point to point fanout across trading floors and WANs.
2. 29West’s LBM®, sold & supported by Wombat, for high performance Ethernet networks.
3. NEW! Wombat Data Fabric, a revolutionary messaging approach to middleware developed by Wombat, for ultra high performance messaging solutions with minimal data center resource consumption.

Wombat’s MAMA platform can also be deployed across TIBCO’s Rendezvous® middleware where Rendezvous® licenses are purchased separately from TIBCO.
