Customer Choice
At Wombat “Customer Choice” is a key derivative of independence.
We do not dictate to our customers!
Our ultimate goal is to develop a range of ticker plant and infrastructure
solutions that cover all leading exchanges globally, all aggregated
vendor feeds, and all leading middleware systems. If a customer
wants this solution to be deployed with SPARC Solaris on the server
side and Solaris x86 on the client side, that’s fine; but
Linux servers and Windows clients are fine also!
“Over the last five years the market data industry has been
rationalizing and downsizing” said Danny Moore, Wombat CEO.
“Many of the established vendors have struggled to cut costs
and remain profitable; essentially they’ve ended up forcing
customers to absorb year on year price increases while essentially
delivering the same old stuff.”
“At Wombat our mission is to deliver best next generation
solutions that push back performance limits and deliver new feature
sets” Moore Continues. “However, we
do this in a manner that gives our customers maximum choice (&
leverage over other vendors) going forward. If Vendor X tries to
force up prices, or provides poor service, the Wombat architecture
and licensing model allows a customer to seamlessly switch to Vendor
Y. If Vendor X and Vendor Y both fail to deliver the goods they
can be replaced with direct exchange feeds. It’s as simple
as that!”
